Port80 Surveys the Top 1000 Corporations' Web Servers
Since January 2003, Port80 Software has surveyed Web sites of the U.S. Fortune 1000 corporations to determine their choice of Web server software.
July 2007 marks a new update to Port80's Top 1000 Web Servers Survey -- based on the new 2007 Fortune 1000 list of companies' Web sites (read the related press press release). This is the first survey update with the 2007 list, the latest since August 2006. Check out the 2007 results below, access historical survey results since 2003, or look up a Fortune 1000 Web server or your own site right now:

An important note on Web server identity
Before looking at server market share in more detail, it is important to note that the vast majority of the Top 1000 Corporations' Web sites identify their server software platform in their standard HTTP header response, and thus fail a basic security test.
Come on Fortune 1000, make our jobs more difficult!
